VOLTA X designed, installed and put into operation a photovoltaic park with a total power of 770 kWp, for Vascar, one of the main producers of meat preparations and preserves in Romania. The system was installed near the production unit in Vaslui, on an area of 12,000 square meters.
For this project were used 1,400 Trina photovoltaic panels and 7 Sungrow inverters.
The photovoltaic panel system will annually produce 1,200 MWh and will cover approximately one-third of Vascar’s production facilities’ consumption needs.
Over the next 25 years, the solar panels will generate 27,500 MWh, resulting in a reduction of CO2 emissions by 15,000 tons, equivalent to planting 825,000 trees. Based on the evolution of prices in the energy market, the investment is estimated to be recovered within 5 years.een energy produced by the installed photovoltaic system allows for an annual reduction of coal consumption by 245,000 kilograms, which would have been used in conventional energy production.
We will continue to invest in renewable energy production to reduce operational costs and dependence on conventional energy, but also because we want to act responsibly towards the environment. Vascar is a company committed to reducing carbon footprint and efficiently using natural resources, for a greener planet and a better future for all of us,” says Vlad Ciuburciu, CEO of Vascar.
Founded in 1984 in Vaslui, Vascar is a company with 100% Romanian capital and has become one of the main producers of meat and canned foods in Romania. With over 400 employees, Vascar operates a processing factory in Vaslui and owns 21 stores in the Moldova region, making it one of the primary employers in the area. Vascar’s own products, as well as Moldova in Bucate’s products, are distributed nationally through hypermarkets, traditional partner stores, and online channels. Additionally, Vascar is a producer of “own brand” products for Carrefour, Mega Image, Penny Market, Auchan, and Lidl.
VOLTA X Solar Systems provides turnkey solutions for photovoltaic systems, energy efficiency, energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging stations. To date, VOLTA X Solar Systems has designed and installed photovoltaic systems totaling 21,000 kWp, featuring over 46,000 installed photovoltaic panels. These systems annually generate approximately 24 million kWh of electric energy, making a significant contribution to environmental protection.
Each year, the green energy supplied by Volta X’s installed photovoltaic systems results in a reduction of approximately 5 million kg of CO2 emissions, and approximately 4 million kg of coal, which would be used in conventional energy production, is no longer exploited. Through their solar solutions and services, VOLTA X Solar Systems aims to increase the adoption of renewable energy and assist users in reducing their carbon footprint.
